Team
Alan has been the Managing Director of Alexander West Capital, LLC since August 2021.
Alan previously served as the CEO of ProQuest Company, a publicly traded technology company, and as CFO for Bell+Howell Company and for Tribune Publishing Company. He founded the Education and New Media division of Tribune Company in 1995 and led it until it’s sale to McGraw Hill in 2000.
He has served on four public company boards and ten private company boards including family-owned companies and venture capital backed companies. He also served as the CEO of the Private Company Directors Association, a professional association for board directors.
Alan received an undergraduate degree in commerce and accounting from DePaul University and a master’s degree in management from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Dr. Michael Bodner is a Senior Technology Executive with nearly four decades of leadership in high-tech ventures. Holding a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from St. John’s University, he began his career at NASA’s Apollo project. Dr. Bodner is a recognized leader in Digital Transformation, helping companies adopt new technologies across industries like construction, media, legal services, education, and healthcare.
His extensive career includes roles as Global Technology Strategy Leader (CIO/CTO) for Thomson Reuters, Infomedia, and ProQuest; Management Technology Consultant at Leopardo Construction; and CIO at various companies. Dr. Bodner has designed software solutions for medical practice management, organ transplants, and web-based portals. His expertise extends to Banking, Oil & Gas, and Real Estate sectors.
An experienced public speaker, Dr. Bodner has delivered keynotes at national conferences and universities. He’s authored technical books and articles, and his visionary work has influenced Future State Planning for global organizations such as Thomson, ProQuest, and Infomedia.
A New York City native and Stuyvesant High School alumnus, Dr. Bodner earned his B.S. in Physics from Brooklyn College before completing his Ph.D. He continues to inspire innovation across industries.
Josh Vaziri is the Information Engineer at AWC Technologies, where he focuses on advancing the company’s automation capabilities and integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and business performance. With a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology, Josh helps companies prepare for an AI-powered future by optimizing workflows and streamlining operations through intelligent automation.
Josh is also a lifelong entrepreneur and seasoned technology expert with a deep passion for innovation. By the age of 10, he built his first computer, and by 16, he had mastered multiple programming languages, launching a successful freelance career as a software and web developer.
In 2019, he co-founded SVZ Group, LLC alongside his wife, combining his extensive IT and data analytics experience to create a novel, hands-on lead generation service. SVZ Group pioneered the use of cutting-edge tools and automation technologies, streamlining client acquisition and setting a new standard for personalized, tech-driven services in the field.
Currently, in his role at AWC Technologies, Josh continues to drive the adoption of AI and automation, transforming traditional workflows and enabling businesses to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
